Evaluation for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and teens

Comprehensive ADHD evaluations to better understand attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity challenges—and provide clear recommendations for support at home and school.
Dr. Schmidt provides comprehensive ADHD evaluations for children and teens to help identify attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity challenges that may be impacting their daily lives.

Dr. Schmidt’s assessments involve gathering detailed developmental, academic, and behavioral histories from parents and teachers, along with administering standardized tests that measure cognitive skills, attention, executive functioning, memory, emotional regulation and academics. Dr. Schmidt observes the child’s behavior during testing and uses validated rating scales to gain insights from multiple settings, such as home and school.
The goal is to distinguish ADHD from other conditions that can mimic its symptoms, like anxiety, learning disabilities, or emotional concerns.

After the evaluation, Dr. Schmidt provides clear, personalized feedback and practical recommendations to support the child's success at school, at home, and in social settings. Dr. Schmidt is committed to helping families better understand their child’s needs and access the right resources for growth and well-being.
